This is the third release of "K", following the release "Prologue K" and "100% Japanese barley".
This Pot Still "K" uses only ex-Karuizawa still and 100% import malted barley. For this expression, not only is it a single malt whisky, it is also composed entirely of whiskies from a single pot still. Therefore, it is described as "single wash still whisky" which is unique to Shizuoka Distillery.
While the previous product was 100% Japanese barley, this expression is 100% foreign barley.
*Although this product uses imported ingredients, it is a "Japanese single malt whisky" that meets the Japanese whisky standards set by the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association (JSLMA).
